Wonderful information, Karine!!  I will definitely read more about Armenia.  Yes, I have surely heard the story of Noah...and his wife...and his sons...and the flood...and the animals on the ark...and the dove...  But I must admit I didn't know that Ararat is in part of what was once a larger Armenia.  I hate to hear of the genocides...always tragic.  Take care, and I hope to hear from you again soon.

An amazing place! A real balm for a sore heart!

Thank you for getting interested in my motherland - ARMENIA! I can advise you to have a look in the Internet. you will find some general information about the place and nation. We are one of the most ancient nations in the world!:))))) I suppose you know the Noah's story, who descended on Ararat!  Till the 13th cent it was a part of great Armenia, which spread from sea to sea. Now as a result of multiple genocides we have become a small country, and the main part of my compatriots live abroad - everywhere in the world! I won't be surprised to find Armenians even in Korea!:)

The cathedral is definitely not Armenian - it is an English Gothic style and was shot in Lincoln in England this summer. You can browse in my albums and fins photos of Armenia.

Thanks, Wizam!!  Although I am from the USA, I am retired and I spend most of my time in Korea with my wife who is a Korean citizen.  For a small country, Korea is very diverse and has many gorgeous things to photograph.  Autumn is an especially beautiful time of the year.
