Moderators are made up from members here. They volunteer their services to ensure the site run smoothly.
Moderators goes out of their way to assist members whether if it's site related and even most cases bend backwards to try to help you in photography.
Moderators manages the site day-to-day affairs in many ways.
Example: Some time a user might upload a photo that is too big, a moderator will then let the member know that the photo they uploaded are beyond the recommended size. One possible explaination is that it will take awhile to show up on someone's browsers and to consider others with slower connection on the net. etc
The moderator who approached you relating your photo's is not trying to discouraged you but to share some points of what impact it has to others and the possibility of someone actually not viewing your photo as it's taken a long time to load on their browsers.
Among other things, moderator also explain the rules to a member who are not too sure or aware of them.
Rules are made up as a collective of moderators and with agreement with the admin of the site. These rules than being applied by the moderators to the site so that everyone can utilise the site as enjoyable as possible.
Look, not everyone is going to like this or that and not everyone can be catered for. But remember that the moderators are only trying to help you and the site. Any issues, by all means contact the admin (me) and we will try to resolve them in a timely manner.
