Though I love flowers in general, I prefer the wild ones. How amazing they are - especially in the American Desert Southwest, or in other taxing environments. They not only survive, but they thrive through strategy!

Oh, I missed this discussion until I had already posted a photo of Sacred Datura and another of Datura seed pods in the general flower discussion.

Richard, I totally agree that the flowers of the Desert Southwest are so amazing.  The Datura is so beautiful, and looks so delicate, and yet its seed pods are great armor. Just one example. . .

I have no idea what this plant is, but the seed heads certainly are pretty.  It isn't a dandelion, at least not one like I am used to seeing.
