The tree branches in the full sized view look like they have halos around them,  I think the picture might have too much sharpening.

That looks like a pretty cold scene.  We have had snow the last couple of days but most of our winter has been above freezing, which is very unusual.  The weather report says by Friday we will be back at about +8 again, which is unheard of for mid-February.

It is hard to tell from one photo but the lens performance was good for this photo.

Thanks for reply cameraclicker so far i am very happy with lens i tend to sharpen out of habit perhaps i need to read up on how to do it correctly.

Hi Paul,

it's not a bad image, but i agree with CC's summary..

USM sharpening (un-sharp mask) is the very last process after down-sampling the image, try and reduce your in-camera sharpening settings or disable them and process at the end of your work flow..
