Can anyone help me...  I just love photographs of water; lakes, the ocean, rivers, you name it, and I especially like the "misty" effect that some photographers achieve, but I have no idea how to do this myself.

I have seen photos of say, a waterfall, where the lake it flows into is sort of blurred into a white mist - am I making sense?  LOL

Can anyone offer me advice on how to achieve something like this with my little inexpensive equipment?  I understand that it is all about long exposure, but having lost the manual to my camera, I don't understand the method!  Help!

Incase I haven't been very clear, this is the kind of effect I'm talking about...  (found on Google images...)

George, I've lived in TX for almost 4 yrs and still never visited Natural bridge Caverns, and I only live a few miles from there!  It's something I need to add to my list of things to do, especially now that I'm getting more and more into photography!
