Just a note if it's about site functionalities, site related changes as far as this solution has it's limitation and out of my hands.  But would love to hear what others have in mind..

Change home page, i think it works great member's to navigate but not not much good for new visitors

Paul, could you please elaborate just a bit on how we can change the homepage.  Please note that we are very limited as to how we can change the homepage, however, if we knew a bit more about what you had in mind, there may be something that we can do.

In your face colour , i like pixel induced and used it most days , then not sure what happened but replies to post i put on forums suddenly stopped. 

A site i use alot is http://www.ephotozine.com/ they have a lot of colour and content changes though design doesn't.

 

Need something to keep people interested and something to attract new members . I am no expert but i would like to see what photographers are in your area and perhaps arrange meetings, walks etc

I really do like these suggestions Paul.  I would absolutely love to have a "local photographers" forum.  Maybe that is a group that can be started soon.  I will begin to put something together and see what I can come up with on it and I will let you know and definitely send you an invite.  

 

Great ideas folks...keep 'em coming.  

 

As for the color of the site, that is something that we could work on with a poll or something like that.  I will definitely put these suggestions together in an outline for our moderators when I have several of them to do so and give a report to each of them so that we can get the feedback of our mod's and then our members.  Thank you so much Paul.  I don't know about your comments, but we can look into that as well.  I will flag that as an issue for you and see what we can come up with. ok.

What i meant about comments is the site went quiet for some reason , perhaps everyone stopped talking to me lol. The Photocritique forum was very active then suddenly everyone stopped posting which seemed strange can understand say one person but everyone ????

Although it is a bit strange that everyone stopped posting all of a sudden, I guess it is what happened.  I sincerely doubt it was anything that you did personally, lol.  Very strange indeed.  I think we probably need to get interest in that group back up.  I genuinely believe that when it comes to photo critique sometimes it just takes one person to dive off into critiquing another's photo and then, the rest will follow suit.  I and the other moderators are currently researching to find out what is working for others and see if we can put our own spin to it.  Any help you would like to offer would be greatly appreciated.  :)

Yes the person running that group had gone from the site but there is another which is not busy busy but it worth a look im a member and im willing to comment with my thoughts as im shore the others will to.

I realy think - if photo's can be uploaded with settings that newcomers to the industry can learn and even the older togs can learn something - if you look at www.500px.com - how they are set up I think you can learn from them and we ALL can learn something there. Much luck for the future. I am also on this site but only get emails from new members to the site - NEVER ever any constructive comments that can help me with my work. - It is not downing you in any way but I would like to se this grow into a talk of the town website for all photographers out there.
