Very quiet in here surely there's some Sony people

Here:  http://forums.steves-digicams.com/sony-alpha-dslr-konica-minolta-ds...

It says:  In the instruction book, it says that a flashing anti-shake scale indicates a 'CCD setup error'. The reccomended remedy is to turn the camera off and on again.

I have Canon gear so IS is in the lenses not in the body.  I don't get a graph but I can see the effect when it comes on.

Thanks CC yes i have to do this more often than not lol they say it is something to do with the levels of depth, speed and app ??? just dont sound right to me so maybe change camera system yet see how it go's i have a A350 and A550 which both do this but still get good captures from them so really not sure which way to go but am holding off getting the A77.

You have two different models of body and both are doing the same thing?  Does it always happen with the same lens?  Or the same settings?  What is common to both when the problem occurs?

I would start by trying to figure out if there is a defective part, like a lens, that you are moving back and forth between bodies.  If there is nothing like that going on, I would think it was a systemic problem with Sony and consider changing brands.

I met someone the other day in my local park. He was out with a friend testing his just received Sony Alpha77. He was extatic. He had a sigma big lens on it and I could not get a word in edgeways. He demo'ed the continuous burst mode (looked pretty good) Shooting into the sun ( handled it very well) and lots of other stuff that he just insisted I needed to see. I think he was very pleased. I am a nikon man myself but it certainly looked the part.

Sounds interesting but i will have to see i think 6 months and people will have used it enough to see any probs with it lol thanks Tony
